Pierce Street’s Emergency Rental Assistance is designed for households that are generally self-sufficient but are experiencing a temporary financial setback, such as job loss or an unexpected major expense. This one-time assistance aims to help families avoid eviction.
Your lease must have been in force for at least 150 days
Your outstanding balance must be less than 2.5x your monthly rent charge
You must not have received emergency rental assistance in the past 365 days
You have received a Rent Demand Letter (Pay Or Quit) from your landlord 14 or more days ago
Before applying, please gather the following documents
Proof of Rent Demand Letter from landlord
Proof of economic need, such as
Notification from your employer regarding loss of income
Copy of a large, unexpected bill
